Shri Purnanand Vidya Niketan Samiti is a registered charitable society with a distinguished legacy of more than five decades in the field of education and holistic child development. Established in February 1963, the society was founded with a vision to empower future generations through quality education rooted in values and integrity. The foundation of the society's first educational institution was laid by Shri Jugal Kishore, the then Education Minister of Uttar Pradesh and a devoted disciple of Swami Janardan Ji Paramhans, at Muni Ki Reti, Rishikesh. This visionary beginning marked the start of a transformative journey in the region's educational landscape. The school received official recognition as a High School in 1980 and was later elevated to the status of an Intermediate College in 1987 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Since then, the Samiti has grown and evolved into a reputed educational organization, currently managing three well-established institutions in the region:

On 17th February 2013, the college proudly celebrated its Golden Jubilee Anniversary, marking 50 years of unwavering commitment to education, discipline, and holistic student development.

Swami Purnanand Degree College of Technical Education Affiliated to Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University, Badshahithaul, Tehri

Swami Purnanand Degree College of Technical Education was established with a vision to bring quality higher education to the underserved region of Rishikesh and its surroundings. Affiliated with Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University, this institution is the only college in the area offering graduation-level programs, addressing the educational aspirations of local students who previously lacked access to such opportunities.

Understanding the growing demand for diversified academic pathways, the college initially launched programs under the Faculties of Humanities (B.A.) and Commerce (B.Com). In line with evolving industry requirements and student interests, the college has since expanded its offerings to include a variety of employment-oriented vocational courses.

To support this academic expansion, a new, purpose-built campus was constructed. The foundation stone was laid in September 2015 by the revered Swami Guru Prasad Ji Paramhansa, marking a significant milestone in the institution's development.
